FOOD PANTRY SHOW-December 19, 2009 FINALLY... For Those of You that are NEW... For the Past THREE YEARS we have been ADOPTING a Fall River Food Pantry at Christmas Time. What does this mean? We PROVIDE a BEAUTIFUL CONCERT to the those who attend, (many homeless families) -For the past three years we empty out our closets and bring all used clothes for those who are in need. -Instead of exchanging gifts among the kids of VIT as we have years ago, we purchase a child's gift, or bring new used toys to the shelter all wrapped with BOY, GIRL and age written on it. - I feel CHRISTMAS is the TIME for sharing. This experience has been MOST BENEFICIAL to myself and the kids and parents of Voices in Time since we started doing it. -The more than 250 individuals who visit the shelter on this day, truly appreciate what Voices in Time does for them. -Doctor Carr and his Physicians Group provides lunch to the group on this day. -Jen Achorn (Sara's MOM) has been very involved in helping me organize getting the gifts and used clothes, toys etc to the church on this day. If anyone would like to help organize the project this year, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! -PLEASE GET YOUR KIDS to this SHOW! You will reap the benefits of feeling LIKE YOU MADE the difference! It's such a GOOD FEELING!
