Jessica Walther of Marion landed her very first leading role at Old Rochester Regional Middle School as the ever beautiful "Cinderella".  Jessica's unique and sweet quality voice and personality is sure to impress the audience in this major role.  Jessica, fourteen years old has been taking voice lessons from Sharon since the age of nine.  Over the years, Jessica's maturity and in her voice and unbeleivable stage prescence leaves you with always wanting more.  She is as enjoyable to hear as she is to watch on stage.  Jessica is a member of her school choir, and she has participated in several local talent shows and contests.   Cinderella takes is set to take place in December of 2009.  Jessica also has participated in ORR's production of Alice in Wonderland in 2008.  This season Jessica shows incredible control in her voice as she sings Linda Edder's "I'm Afraid This Must Be Love".

Maddie's Playing 'Alice' and She's Doing It Well

Eleven year old Maddie Carr of Fairhaven received her first lead in this year's Friends Academy Musical "Alice in Wonderland'.  The musical is taking place on November 12, 2009 at Friends where Maddie attends school.  Maddie's acting and singing abilities rise to another level as she does a fabulous job playing the curious "ALICE".  Maddie has been a student of Sharon's for more than two years and her growth and confidece has made her a great performer.  This season's rendition of Sinatra's "I Got The World On a String" is sure to knock your socks off. 

Nichole Pappas is Taking
HER FIRST STEPS TO ACTING

In December of 2009, Nichole will debute in her first major role as "Pockets" in the Holiday Classic The Christmas Carol.  The musical is being presented by the Burt Wood School of performing arts.  Nichole has been  singing with Voices in Time since she was 7 years old and she has developed quite the pretty voice.   She's got the perfect attitude which makes her a GREAT well rounded performer.  She has also won local talent contests including the Recreation Center Idol Contest this Summer.  Nichole is a resident of Lakeville where she attends Assawamsut Elementary School.

10 year old Sara Achorn wins
New Bedford's Got Talent 2009

The Miss New Bedford Scholarship Pageant hosted it's first New Bedford's Got talent Contest in March of 2009.  Voices in Time's Sara Achorn of Rochester, Ma took first place in her age category.  Judges said she had a powerful and sultry voice beyond her years as she sang the ever popular "Black Velvet".  Sara sings with heart in soul in all her performances.  This year she also took second place in the Burtwood Idol Contest as well as Second Place in the Magic of Music Idol Contest.  Watch out America, here comes another talented kid. In July of 2009 Sara performed at Canobie Lake Park's Talent Contest where she took first place and she returned to the finals in September and took second place.  In August 2009 Sara won first place in Fall River Catches a Falling Star Talent Contest which earned her a cash prize of $500.  Sara was named a "Vocalist of The Year 2009" of Voices In Time for her incredible improvement over the past year in her voice and over-all presenation and dedication to her vocal studies.

This Little Girl with the Big Voice is Moving On Up...

Ainslee Rodrigues eight years old of Acushnet Mass took one of the titles of "Vocalist of The Year 2009" as designated by vocal teacher of Voices in Time.  Ainslee may be cute and petitie but her voice is big and powerful.  Singing "Break It To Me Gently"...move over Juice Newton you have company. Her  perserverience and dedication to learning made a huge improvement in her voice over the past year which earned her the honored title. 

Victoria Kalisz is a musical sensation at 7 years old

Victoria Kalisz is 7 years old from Acushnet, Massachusetts and warming the hearts of the many audiences she performs for. In February she took second place in the Burtwood Idol Contest 2009, while in March she won second place in the Magic of Music Idol 2009 Contest.  Victoria also took second place in the Neuman Idol Contest in 2008.  In 2008 she held a leading role as "Violet" in the South Coast Children's Theater Corporation production of "Alice in Wonderland" and in May she will participate in the South Coast's musical presentation of "Mulan". She has been a participant of "Voices in Time" for the past 8 months.  In April of 2009 Victoria earned 2nd place with her brother Mikey in a duet vocal competition singing "Bless the Broken Road". She also won 3rd place in solo voice with her rendition of "Big Time" in the same competition. Victoria placed in the top 10 of Fall River catches a Falling Star Talent Contest in August 2009.  Victoria performed in Canobie Lake's Talent Contest in August 2009 and won 3rd Place out of 36 contestants of all ages.


Cassidy McGrath's voice is impressive and big for a little girl.

Cassidy McGrath is just nine years old and making huge gains as an entertainer and ice skater.  This year she placed third in the Magic of Music Idol Competition in March and will be performing with the Magic of Music Troope this year. She has also placed in Burtwood Idol Competitions over the past years.  She also place third in a recent ice skating competition.  Cassidy has a huge voice from such a little girl.  Her newest of songs "Gimme Gimme" is leaving audiences wanting to hear from this little performer. Cassidy has been performing with "Voices in Time" for almost 2 years now. Most recently Cassidy was one of the top 5 winners at Fall River Catches a Falling Star in August of 2009 Cassidy placed First among nearly 40 who took part in Canobie Lake's Talent Contest August of 2009. 


9 year old Skyler Callahan takes first place in
New Bedford's Got Talent..ages 9 and under division

Skyler Callahan of Saint Francis Xavier School where she is in the 4rth grade has a voice like an angel. She recently won the title of New Bedford's Got Talent Winner in her age category.  She's sure to be a hit in the future.  In her very first competition ever, Ms.Callahan impressed the judges with her sweet voice and adorable personailty as she sing a cute version of L.O.V.E from natalie Cole.  Skyler is loving the stage and she's only just begun.  She's been training under the direction of Sharon Jensen for less then a year.  Sklyer placed in the top 5 in Fall River Celebrates America's Talent Contest 2009. Skyler will play Tiny Tim in Burt Wood Schools' performance of "The Christmas Carol" in December 2009.

Alexa Cahill 2009 Magic Of Music Idol Over-All Winner

Alexa Cahill, 11 years old from Assonet Mass wowed a packed audience at the Knights of Columbus in Mattaposiett in March as she won the over title "Magic Of Music Idol" winner.  She amazed the audience with her powerful rendition of "Midnight Train To Georgia".  This March, Ms.Cahill auditioned for "America's Got Talent" in Boston, MA.  Alexa also took second place in Fall River's "Catch a Falling Star" contest in the summer of 2008.  Watch out for this rising star. Alexa will be touring this summer with Jillian Jensen-Zero Gravity and the Magic of Music Idol Group promoting the Magic of Music Scholarship Project which enables kids to continue to stay involved with the arts. Alexa placed second in Fall River Catches a Falling Star Talent Contest in August 2009. Alexa recently landed the leading role in a RHODE ISLAND/Massachusetts based film "FOOTPRINTS".


Bethany Ramos takes a lead orphan in local production of Annie

Bethany Ramos, 9 years old of Acushnet landed her first leading role in Fairhaven High's production of "Annie" in March of 2009.  Bethany played the sassy, orphan "Tessy".  Bethany did an outstanding job acting, singing and dancing with the talented cast of children.  Bethany has been training with Sharon for 2 years this season.  She has worked very hard as a student and she certainly posses a passion for singing each time she gets on the stage.



Stephanie Beaudoin, Vocalist of The Year 2008

12 year old, Stephanie Beaudoin of Fairhaven, Ma was named Vocalist of The Year 2008 at this year's Summer Cabaret that took place at Cafe Funchal on Father's Day, June 17, 2008.  Stephanie's award was given to her because of her dedication to learning as a vocalist and her over-all achievement during her lessons this past year with technical, presentation and over all performance skills.  Steph has been singing with "Voices in Time" and taking lessons with Sharon for almost 4 years.  She has a very strong voice and demonstrates great control in her voice.  This year's performance of her rendition of "Cabaret" is certainly a crowd pleaser.  Stephanie played a leading part in the Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as the "Candy Man" on March 26, 2009 and she did an outstanding job.   


Hayley Morais, Winning One Title After Another
Miss Massachusetts Junior National Teenager 2009



Hayley Morais, 13 of East Freetown Massachusetts was crowned "Miss Bristol County National Jr. Teenager 2007" on Sunday October 7, 2007.  She also won the title of "Neuman Senior Idol 2007" in June at the Saint John Neuman Festival 2007 and won the title of Assonet Idol 2007.  Hayley has been coached by Sharon Jensen since she was 8 years old and she is a student at the Freetown-Lakeville Middle School.  In 2007 she held a leading role in the Musical "Sound of Music" for Apponequet High School.  She is also an accomplished dancer with Kara's Dance Studio of East Freetown and most recently held a leading role in Burtwood School's rendition of "High School Musical", which took place this summer 2007.  Hayley is a little power house and knows how to wow an audience.  Hayley won the title of Burtwood Idol 2008 (Senior Division) in March.  Hayley won the title among many prizes at the Miss Massachusetts National Teenager 2009 pageant this March.  She won first place in talent, Director's Choice Award and took the title as Miss Massachusetts Junior National Teenager 2009.  She will compete for the National title in Nashville, Tennesse in August 2009. Check out her website @ HayleyMorais.com

 

 


Jillian Jensen is making the MUSIC/Second CD/Album to be released in January 2009

Student, Jillian Marie Jensen, Miss Massachusetts Teen America 2007,  tied first place in talent in the Miss Teen America Pageant in July of 2007.  She released her first original CD entitled "Reflections" in 2007.  The CD is for sale and a portion of the proceeds will benefit her project "M.O.M" , The Magic of Music that was established to create scholarships for students who were unable to afford music lessons or instruments.  Jillian has provided more that $4,000 dollars to scholarship candidates since the program began.  Jillian was crowned Miss Massachusetts Teen America in April of 2007.  She also played the lead role as Sharpay in YMTC's spring performance of "High School Musical". Jillian is a Junior at Bishop Stang School where she has participated in the drama club and a select A Capella group. She Ain't Nothing but a Hound Dog..She's the Magic of Music Winner 2009



Miss Camryn Morais knows how to warm the hearts of her viewers.  Her rendition of "Hound Dog" is sure to make you smile! Cami is just 8 year old and attends East Freetown Elementary School.  She won the Neuman Minor Idol 2007 and won third place most in Assonet Idol 2007.  Aside from singing, she is also an accomplished dancer with Kara's Dance Studio of East Freetown, MA. Camryn went on to win Assonet Idol 2008.  Camryn made the audience cheer in her presention of Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer"  this March as she took the title as M.O.M winner 2009 for ages 9 and under and was featured on the front cover of the Wanderer for her success. Camryn placed top 5 in the Fall River Celebrates America's Talent Contest 2009.  


Vocalist of the Year 2007

Student, Caitlyn Botelho was chosen as the "Vocalist of The Year 2007".  Her vocal technique and capability have wowed audiences this year through-out the Bristol County area.  Caitlyn's rendition of "Midnight Train to Georgia" is remarkable.  She has been studied voice with Sharon Jensen for more tahn 6 years.  Caitlyn is a student at Saint Francis School in Acushnet.  She is 13 years old.  Wishing Caitlyn future success in all her musical opportunities.

Lorae Tavares, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, won the title of Miss Junior Massachusetts of the Northeast 2007  Lorae sings with power and soul and she is a delight to watch on stage.  She started training with Sharon Jensen at 9 years old and sang "Voices in Time" for almost 4 years.  Last year she won Pulaski School's talent contest and has been featured with her grandfather "Tiny Tavares" in local fundraising events.  Lorae was featured in Super Model Magazine this Fall.  Lorae is currently 13 years old and attends Normandin Junior High School.  Lorae played Snoopy in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown in 2008.  The Lorae took second place in the Magic of Music Idol Contest in February 2008 and Third Place in the "M.O."M Contest in 2009 and travels with the Magic of Music Troope singing through-out the South Coast area.  Most recently Lorae played the role as "Glinda" for YMTC's production of "The Wizard of Oz" to be presented at BCC in January 2009. Lorae will be played a leading part in Godspell at her school in May 2009 and a leading role in YMTC's production of High School Musical 2 in August in Fall River. Former Student Mackenzie Rae Releases her first Album

Former Student, Mackenzie Hutchens of East Freetown most recently won the title at the New England Talent Awards as "Singer of the Year" in February of 2007. Mackenzie studied voice with Sharon Jensen from 9 years old to 12 years old.  Mackenzie is currently 14 years old and attends Freetown Lakeville Middle School.  Mackenzie also held the title as Burtwood Idol 2007 and Assonet Idol 2006.  Most recently Mackenzie has been working on her own originial songs. She is known as the "Little Girl With The Big Voice". Look for her album entitled "Mackenzie Rae" that she released in February 2009.  Wishing her continued success with her voice.
