Mike Kalisz is 15 years old and an all-honors sophomore at Bishop Stang High School. Involved in music his whole life, his first public performance was in front of a capacity crowd at the Zeiterion Theatre at only 7 years of age. Mike began playing piano by ear before taking formal lessons and has now taught himself drums, accordion and guitar. Studying piano with the late Ted Milos of DeRossi Music School, he has received numerous awards at local and state music competitions. Mike was selected as one of only seven "Green Rocker Ambassadors" that perform throughout New England promoting GreenSchool initiatives and was the winner of the 2010 Young Performer's Club Music On & Up Showcase held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. He has also been a winner or finalist at other musical events such as “Magic of Music Idol” and “Burt Wood Idol”.  Most recently, he received three awards at the 2011 New England Music Festival, where he has received awards every year he has participated.

Beginning to play piano on his own at only five years of age was the beginning of his musical journey. As an invited performer at many schools, nursing homes, local television shows, community and civic events (including the Miss New Bedford and Miss New Bedford’s Outstanding Teen pageants, the Senior Sweetheart Pageant of America Pageant, the Carnival Glory cruise ship and more), Michael has been able to share his gift of music with all types of audiences. He has been seen as a featured performer at “Live at Best Buy Boston”, Boston’s GreenFest and featured on the “Back Talk Teens” television show. He has performed at the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament as part of the trio "Sugar & Spice" and at venues across New England as a member of the bands "Zero Gravity", "Pure Sarcasm" and now "4171". Adding vocals to his performances has been relatively recent and he thanks Ms. Sharon for all he has been able to accomplish since then!

At 13 years old, he recorded his first single entitled "I Wish I Didn't" at Surefire Music Studios which was heard on Xtrasound Radio on the Live365 Internet Radio Network and landed at Number 3 on their weekly chart. Now 15, Mike is working on other musical projects. Most notably, he is working with Full Sircle Entertainment to record the debut album for his band “4171” and looks forward to releasing the music soon.
